Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Hands-On Tested

Published Revised

We ordered two size-L Rhude tees in black and apricot. Both arrived dense and cleanly printed at 220g; the cut is properly oversized, so confirm flat measurements before you pay.

Assessment notes

Hands-on score

Editor verdict

Two size-L tees arrived as described: dense 220g cotton, clean prints, a finish we could feel. The cut is genuinely oversized, so confirm flat measurements with your agent. At $8.51 the value holds up; sizing stays the risk.

What works

Dense, dry-hand 220g cotton that kept its shape through two 30 °C washes.

What works

Print sits in the knit rather than on top of it; clean seams and neck trim.

What works

Roughly a hundred black, white and apricot colour codes in S–XL at one low price.

Watch-outs

The size label runs large, matching the oversized-fit warnings from Rhude stockists.

Watch-outs

No buyer-written reviews attach to this SKU, so durability beyond our wash tests is unproven.

Watch-outs

Shared studio photography across codes makes it easy to order the wrong graphic.

Who this may suit

You want a heavyweight, boxy streetwear tee with a letter or logo graphic, you are happy to size down, and you will ask your agent for flat measurements before paying.

Who should consider alternatives

You need a slim or true-to-size cut you can order from the label alone, or you want documented long-term reviews from other buyers of this exact listing.

Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Long-Staple Cotton, Hands-On Tested

What we ordered and what arrived

We bought two tees from this Rhude T-shirt collection through Litbuy AI: code 5018 in black and code 5017 in apricot, both in size L, at $8.51 each against a listed original price of $10.14. The SKU on the listing is 7718829942, and the item was in stock when we ordered.

Before the parcel left the warehouse we asked for QC images of the neck label, the print at full width, the hem, the side seam and a flat-lay with all four corners visible. Both tees cleared that set, so we approved shipment. Our parcels are weighed on arrival on a 0.5 g scale; both tees came in within the expected band for a listed 220g knit, and both were photographed on the grey card before being worn.

Fabric, weight and the no-iron claim

The listing is specific about the body: long-staple cotton as the main fabric, 220g weight, pull-over construction, moisture-wicking function and a no-iron (anti-crease) finish, with a collarless neckline and short sleeves. What we can speak to is the hand feel and the behaviour of the cloth across three two-hour wear sessions and two 30 °C machine washes.

Listing statesWhat our testing team found
Long-staple cotton, 220gDense, dry-hand jersey with a low sheen. It holds a fold rather than flopping flat.
No-iron / anti-crease finishBoth tees hung out of the wash with light creasing; a short hang in steam removed most of it.
Moisture-wicking functionCannot be verified on a bench. The cloth breathed normally indoors and did not turn clingy in warm weather.
Collarless neckline, short sleeveNeck trim sits flat and kept its shape after both washes; sleeve openings did not flare.

Where cheap graphic tees usually give themselves away is the join between print and cloth. On both of our samples the graphic sat in the knit rather than on top of it, the hem stitching ran straight, and we found no loose threads at the shoulder seams or the neck trim after washing.

Fit: the one thing to confirm before you pay

This is where the listing carries real risk, and where our own measurements agree with the wider record. Both size-L samples measured generously across the chest and dropped well below a standard men's large in the body. Rhude's own retail partners describe the cut plainly: MR PORTER lists an oversized Rhude logo tee as "intended to be oversized; we recommend sizing down if you prefer a closer fit", and stockists such as Averlo tag Rhude tees as "oversize fit (size down from true to size)".

Buyer threads on r/Rhude lean toward a full size down from your normal size, and one r/streetwear buyer went from a usual large to a small. Others keep their normal size in certain Rhude cuts.

Because the listing groups roughly a hundred colour codes under one product page, and because Rhude sizing is not uniform across silhouettes, we would not order this tee blind. Ask your agent for flat measurements of the exact code you want — pit-to-pit, shoulder, body length and sleeve opening — and compare those numbers with a tee you already own. That single step removes almost all of the guesswork.

Prints, colourways and how to compare them

The range runs across black, white and apricot, in S, M, L and XL, with letter and brand-logo graphics. The grouped presentation is convenient for browsing but easy to misread: the studio photography is shared across many codes, so the graphic you see in position one may not be the graphic attached to 5017.

  • Match the code to the picture before ordering, not the other way around.
  • The apricot reads warmer and less pale in daylight than on the listing's white background.
  • Black and white are the safer first buys if you are unsure how the print scales on your frame.

Value, and what is still unconfirmed

At $8.51 before agent fees and shipping, the construction we received is priced far below what the fabric weight and print quality would suggest. The catch is evidence: we found no buyer-written reviews attached to this specific SKU. The only seller-service claim we located refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print listing, where buyers praise fast dispatch and repeat-purchase at each drop — encouraging, but not about this tee.

So treat the fabric, weight, finish and fit as our own hands-on findings, and treat long-term durability past two washes and three wear sessions as unknown. Six months from now the desk will re-order this collection, re-weigh the parcel and update this review if the cloth, the prints or the sizing band change.

Where it lands

A well-built, genuinely oversized cotton tee with a clean print and a wide colour run, undermined only by a size label you should not trust on its own. Confirm flat measurements, pick the code carefully, and this is easy value.

Evidence and limits

How we tested

We ordered two size-L tees (codes 5018 black and 5017 apricot) through Litbuy AI, receiving QC images of neck label, print, hem and side seam before shipping. Each tee was weighed on our 0.5 g scale, measured flat at chest, shoulder and length, machine-washed twice at 30 °C, then worn in three two-hour sessions indoors and out.

Frequently asked

How does the 220g cotton behave after two washes?

Both size-L tees came out with only light creasing, which hung out with steam. Neck trim and sleeve openings kept their shape, the print showed no cracking or peeling, and the fabric did not thin or pill at the hem.

Should I size down from my usual size?

Our size-L samples measured clearly larger than a standard large, and Rhude stockists label these tees oversized. Most buyers go a full size down, some keep their normal size, so confirm flat chest and length measurements for your chosen code first.

Is the fit the same across all the colour codes?

Not necessarily. Roughly a hundred codes share one page and one set of studio photos, and Rhude sizing varies between silhouettes. Ask your agent to measure the exact code you want rather than assuming the size chart applies throughout.

Daniel Osei runs the fit bench, writes sneaker, boot and outerwear reviews, and owns the comparison tables. Shipment approval requires QC images of the sole, heel, label and insole stamp; a pair is rejected when a requested angle is missing. Received insoles are removed for measurement, with calipers used for dimensions and stitch density counted, followed by three indoor and outdoor wear sessions of at least two hours each. Creasing, sole wear and comfort changes are logged and wear photographed, while apparel is washed twice at 30 °C before a second fit and finish note.
